This position is for those ages 18 and older with a valid Kentucky EMT Certification .Job Description:Responsible for providing patient care in accordance with state, regional and local regulatory agencies, and protocols established by Medical Director and park policies.Job Responsibilities:Follow all Kentucky Kingdom standards, including grooming, personal hygiene, and uniform requirements. A neat, clean, professional appearance is required at all times.Function in uncommon and stressful situations.Maintain current certifications throughout the course of employment.Respond to minor and major medical incidents with proficiency within defined scope of care.Understand basic medical - legal principles.Follow all medical protocols as outlined by park's Medical Director.Work with Health Services Senior Supervisor to ensure medical equipment is appropriately stocked, in good working order, and maintained.Work with Health Services Senior Supervisor to ensure medical equipment, including Personal Medical Pack (PMP), is appropriately stocked, in good working order, and readily accessible as outlined in Health Services Equipment and Supplies SOP.Ensure all two-way radio equipment is in good working order.Assist in ensuring all Health Services buildings are well maintained and clean.Assist in the administration of drug screening process as outlined in the Administering Drug Screening SOP.Complete Patient Care Reports and Treatment Logs, (along with all supporting documentation for each) accurately and thoroughly. Properly document all patient care.Utilize the HFE Safety Incident Database (SID) to record all treatments provided and the occurrence of any injuries/illnesses on the property.Maintain compliance with all HIPAA policies.Perform all functions of Health Services with the highest standard of professionalism.Perform Command Base Operator position as requested by management.Other duties as assigned by management. Requirements Requirements:Must be at least 18 years of age.Trained in patient care with current certifications (minimum of Kentucky State Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification).Ability to meet the requirements of, and perform in accordance with, Cart and Motor Vehicle Use program.Physical ability to walk for extended periods and tolerate extreme weather conditions.Physical ability to lift and carry items weighing in excess of 100 pounds in a team setting.Physical ability to spend prolonged periods of time sitting, standing, walking, stooping, squatting, crawling, climbing, lifting, carrying, lowering, pushing/pulling, and twisting at waist.Physical ability to transport items or objects of varying weights in individual or team settings.Pre-employment background check & drug screen are required.
