Maverik/Kum & Go is looking for a skilled Accounts Payable Clerk to be responsible for processing invoices received for payment and for undertaking the payment of all vendors in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner.The Accounts Payable Clerk oversees the daily entry of invoices, reconciles invoices, maintains vendor relations, and manages paperwork.You bring your skills, talents and drive and we'll give you a great place to work and a rewarding career.What You'll do as an Account Payable Clerk:Accurate payment processing, including but not limited to verifying federal id numbers, scheduling and preparing check, resolving purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation, ensuring credit is received for outstanding memos, issuing stop-payments or purchase order amendmentsEnsure proper supporting documentation (e.g., purchase order, approved and reconciled invoices/vendor statements, etc.) exists for all paymentsVerify expense reports and audits the reports to ensure compliance with Travel & Entertainment policyAssist with compliance of 1099 reporting and preparationAdditional responsibilities as assignedYou'll Be a Great Fit if you Have:Some college-level work, with accounting courses and/or associates degree or equivalent training and/or experienceKnowledge of accounts payable functions, with experience with multiple systems highly valuableProficient skills in MS Office, specifically Excel, and experience with AP computer accounting applicationsA track record of looking beyond the obvious to identify root causes & simplifying complicated processes finding ways to improve work processesDemonstrated strong written & verbal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels within the organizationSkills in exercising initiative and sound judgment in decision makingWhy Maverik/Kum & Go?Connections with great people and a great companyTeam environment that's supportive and funOpportunities to learn about great customer service and retailGreat pay, great benefits, and career growth opportunitiesWhat We Believe In:Treating others better than they expect to be treatedMaking Maverik a great place to work by having fun and taking responsibilityMaking Maverik a great operator for our customers by being a problem solver and putting the customer firstMaking Maverik a great growth company by sharing ideas and working to get better every day
