Overview

This position will provide support to senior-level personnel in the Directorate Management Division (DMD) within the Facilities Services Directorate (FSD) of the Department of Defense (DoD). The DMD is responsible for providing customer service support to FSD divisions, overseeing personnel and workforce policies, establishing organizational goals, and serving as a primary point of contact and information source for the division.

The Data Analyst will be part of our team of talented consultants providing professional services to DMD The ideal candidate has data analysis experience, values collaboration, and is eager to learn. This position will work as part of a team to develop high-level briefings and data visualizations for senior-level officials.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, gather, and organize workforce management data, reports, exhibits, process maps, and narratives using standard Microsoft Office tools and Power BI. Verify client-provided data for accuracy and completeness
  • Develop data visualizations to effectively communicate information to senior officials, utilizing Power BI and other tools to automate and display data
  • Maintain personnel data using government reporting systems and track customer requests through established processes
  • Support the upkeep of Performance Metric Reports for senior leadership and maintain a daily log for bi-weekly reporting
  • Maintain logs relating to work in progress, meetings, etc.
  • Coordinate with team members, customers, and stakeholders to ensure continuous process improvement plans, messaging, materials, and milestones are comprehensive and accurate
  • Prepare and present data analysis findings through presentations
Qualifications

The ideal candidate is familiar and has experience with the following technical knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks independently and adapt to changing environments
  • Strong research capabilities to identify best practices and synthesize information into summaries and reports
  • Excellent organizational skills and keen attention to detail
  • Experience working with Senior Executives in the Government, preferably DoD
  • Proficiency in Excel to analyze complex data sets and develop data visualizations
  • Ability to work independently with guidance from program manager
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Familiarity with business intelligence tools and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint

Education and Experience: This position requires three (3) years of relevant professional experience.  Experience working in or directly for DoD or similar organization is required.  This position requires a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.

Clearance: This position requires an active SECRET security clearance. Must be a U.S. citizen.
