Job Description
Responsible for providing student admissions, coordination of application and registration activity, customer services, admissions support services to other programs and areas, and supervision of the office staff in the absence of the Campus Registrar. Advises prospective and newly admitted students regarding issues related to the application, registration, and residency. Assists with campus based dual enrollment/early admissions programs, including processing and issue resolution. Facilitates information sessions related to college admissions. Requires the ability to work a fluctuating schedule, including nights and weekends.

Pay Grade: 58
Base Pay: $42,583.00. Offer amount based on College's Salary Schedule guidelines.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Two year of related experience
Knowledge of:
  • Microsoft Office Professional or similar application
  • Provides comprehensive counseling to students both currently enrolled and prospective students and their families as to the guidelines of the financial aid process and eligibility utilizing a variety of formats
Skilled in:
  • Attention to detail while maintaining effective time and task management
  • Fact finding, analysis, and problem solving
  • Delivering a high level of customer service
Ability to:
  • Demonstrate critical thinking and interpersonal skills
  • Interact in a positive manner with diverse populations and varying education levels of students, faculty, staff, and the public
  • Organize and prioritize multiple, competing priorities to maximize personal and team effectiveness
  • Effectively communicate verbally and in writing on a regular basis with internal and external customers, build relationships, manage customer expectations and take responsibility for a high level of service
Licenses, Registration, Certifications, or Special Requirements:
  • Regular physical attendance required
  • Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) within 30 days of employment
  • Some periods throughout the year will require extended work hours including nights, weekends, and college closures
Work Environment and Physical Demand:
  • Lift, carry, push, pull, install or remove objects weighing 20 to 49 pounds
  • Lift, carry, push, pull, install or remove objects weighing in excess of 50 pounds
  • Reach and grasp objects
  • Stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Stand for extended periods of time
  • Use of video display terminal
  • Use of manual dexterity and fine motor skills
  • Communicate information orally and in writing
  • Receive and understand information through oral and written communication
  • Proofread and check documents for accuracy
  • Work a fluctuating work schedule
