PC Specialist JOB SUMMARY: This position provides desktop support to The County of Lehigh. The individual will be expected to troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve PC and network problems over the phone, in person and utilizing remote assistance utilities. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides tier one and two trouble call support Installation and maintenance of PC's including PC adds, moves, or changes PC Desktop Support as needed (hardware/software) Printer, fax and other (scanners, biometric devices, receipt printers, etc..) hardware devices, software support and maintenance as necessary Establishes network connectivity and PC hardware/software configuration Supports third-party software applications utilized by the county Remote location support via tools and physical visitations of all county facilities Set up technology, AV and other, for presentations and meetings Keeps individual incident tracking system accurate and up-to-date Schedules work to minimize interruptions to their clients Research equipment and services for employee business usage (PCs, Printers, Applications, etc.) Contacts vendors to request support for third-party devices as needed Complies with County and IT policies and procedures. Working together in a team atmosphere where cross-training, collaboration, and mutual assistance are fundamental. Ability to travel to remote locations to provide support at short notice The hours for this position are Monday thru Friday, 8am-4pm The main location for this position is the Lehigh County Government Center and Lehigh County Courthouse, but is required to rotate to our Nursing Home locations for a month every 3 to 4 months. Other duties and assignments as assigned. Job Requirements QUALIFICATIONS: 3 year minimum experience in PC Technician environment or equivalent education Valid motor vehicle license required to travel to other sites in Lehigh County Ability to lift and move laptops, desktops, monitors, and printers Excellent customer service and oral communications skills Expert knowledge of the Windows OS/MAC OS/Mobile OS (Android & IOS) software platforms Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office products ranging from version 2016 to 2021 and O365 Knowledge of the following: Network configurations requirements, Printer and computer configurations requirements Analytical and problem solving skills Ability to respond rapidly, accurately and courteously to inquiries Advanced network administration and functionality Advanced software and hardware troubleshooting skills Criminal Background check required
