General Summary
The Inventory Control Specialist will be responsible for various activities to ensure accuracy of raw material inventory.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Inventory Control and Raw Receiving.
- Controls inventory accuracy of ingredients, product, material and supplies by participating in physical inventories and maintaining/documenting inventory records; verifies clerical computations against physical count of stock and helps adjust errors.
- Stage raw ingredients per production needs on a daily basis.
- Receive inbound purchase orders including tomato bins.
- Perform finished good and packaging physical counts.
- Conduct monthly cycle counts for organic raw materials.
- Receive all raw ingredients (except vinegar and soybean tankers) ensuring all incoming ingredients adhere to food quality and safety standards.
- Adjust inventory in JustFoods as needed.
- Verify the COA for all incoming ingredients, including utilization of JustFoods ERP to verify COA to specifications.
- Maintain organization of the warehouse and stock.
- Assist warehouse department with projects as needed.
- Monitor and adjust stock levels on an ongoing basis to maintain proper levels of inventory.
- Operates lift trucks, forklifts, scissor lift and motorized pallet jacks while observing standard lift truck operation and safety rules
- Maintain housekeeping, GMP's, and safety within the facility.
- Responsible to check, complete and /or sign all appropriate paperwork and documentation.
- Serve as back up for warehouse forklift operators as needed.
- Greet and check in drivers for incoming materials and outgoing finished products.
- Assist with coordinating and scheduling inbound and outbound appointments.
- Create transfers and shuttles both internally and externally as needed to support production.
- Assist in identification and follow-up of discrepancies, including communicating with the customer prior to when the shipment leaves the warehouse.
- Assist with processing of damage reports, quality holds, and other inventory transactions.
- Assist with posting Sales Order invoices and processing of sample requests.
- Assist in product recall procedures as necessary.
- Perform other duties as needed or requested by management.
Education Requirements
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Previous Experience Requirement
2- 3 years' experience, Prior experience in a food manufacturing environment preferred.

- Ability to interact with other employees in a professional and courteous manner.
- Ability to complete assignments with minimal direction.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Effective problem solving ability, including recommending and taking corrective action.
- Qualified to operate a fork lift.
- Mathematical aptitude sufficient enough to perform the duties of the position.
