Hartford HealthCare is seeking an Athletic Trainer Certified (ATC) for the University of Hartford in West Hartford, CT. This position includes day, evening, weekend and some holiday hours, as well as some travel through the year.

The ATC provides injury assessment, treatment, management and rehabilitation services for student-athletes. Assists coaches, team physicians and Head Athletic Trainer with the design and implementation of injury prevention programs, including injury recognition, evaluation and management. Assumes responsibility for adherence to rules and regulations governing University, NESCAC and the NCAA, including assisting in the education process extended to alumni and the community. Performs all duties in full support of the Universitys mission, understanding that the positive and effective execution of these duties are instrumental to the education of the Universitys students.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required, Masters preferred.

Connecticut Athletic Trainer license required.

Minimum 2 years of experience required.

The successful candidate will:

- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills.

- Be self-motivated and able to work independently, as well as function strongly within a team environment.

- Be able to function successfully with physicians and other members of Allied Health Care team and be comfortable in a matrix organization with multiple reporting responsibilities.

- Display strong customer service skills and aptitude and be able to represent both clinic and practice in a positive manner outside of the clinic and within the community.
