Job Summary:
Using appropriate ultrasound equipment produces and records data from scans for use by physician in diagnosis of disease and study of malfunction of organs. Explains process to patient, and instructs and assists patient for examination.

Selects and adjusts equipment; keys test data and patient information. Starts equipment and records diagnostic data.
Education and/or Experience Requirements:
High school graduate or GED equivalent.
Completion of formal radiologic technology training at an AMA-sponsored school.
Satisfactory completion of an ultrasound training program.
Requires approximately one year of on-the job training to become proficient with duties and responsibilities.
Prefer bilingual or multilingual skills.
Licensure & Certifications Requirements
Must have Certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (RDMS), Washington State License. Must have BLS upon time of hire or within 30 days of employment.
