Description

Job Summary:

The Driver is responsible for ensuring safe and on-time delivery to our customers, all while following Federal, State, and company regulations.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Secure freight and tarp when necessary in all weather conditions

• Treating customers in a friendly and professional manner

• Documenting each delivery by taking pictures, and communicating with the customer

• Report maintenance problems and accidents in a timely manner

• Look for innovation and continuous improvement opportunities in the Transportation Department

• Adhering to assigned delivery schedule and following all job directives precisely

• Providing support to our loaders as needed

• Maintain log of travel and cargo in accordance with Federal and State regulations and company policy

• Any other duties assigned by Management

Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Previous experience driving for a metal building or construction company a plus

• Familiar with shipping orders, manifests, and delivery schedules

• Experience as a flatbed driver a plus

Education and Experience:

• Meet all Federal Motor Carrier Guidelines

• Hold a Valid Class A CDL

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift 50lbs., bend, squat, kneel and or stand for extended periods of time

Salary Description

Starting at $60,000/yr
