PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

Receives, inventories, stores, issues and maintains tools, parts, and materials as required. Perform the functions of the site supply activities utilizing company purchasing processes and/or the Naval Aviation Supply System as it applies to intermediate level maintenance.

* Must be able to perform duties and responsibilities as Tool Control Program Coordinator as required by COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 Series and company policies.

* Requisition supplies and equipment as required and maintain requisition logs and files of all requirements.

* Pick-up and deliver tools requiring test, repair, or calibration from/to the applicable source/destination.

* Track, maintain and monitor calibrated items for the site.

* Establish and maintain stock records and files.

* Store, issue, and maintains excess materials.

* Initiate VIDS/MAFS for tool, and/or equipment repair.

* Initiate follow up actions as necessary.

* Maintain Government furnished Individual Material Readiness List (IMRL), and other government property and furnishings, contractor owned equipment, and employee owned property inventory records.

* Issue and return to stock or storage area all tools and special equipment.

* Engrave, etch, tag or mark tools and equipment as necessary.

* Visually inspect tools and equipment for wear or defects and report damaged and worn-out equipment. Make minor repairs to tools as required, authorized, or directed.

* Input data entry elements necessary to maintain inventory and related contract accountability requirements.

* Prepare parts/supplies documentation as required including requisitions, turn in documents, Non-Conforming Material Report, misdirected Material Shipment Report, Hazardous Material Reports (HMR), Quality Deficiency Reports (QDR) and Report of Discrepancy (ROD).

* Perform validations of direct/indirect support material for work center/division. Resolve discrepancies with AWP, Production Control, and ASD as appropriate.

* Make scheduled/unscheduled parts runs to work centers, AWP, Production Control, Aviation Supply and elsewhere as directed.

+ Pick-up and deliver documentation, reports and related mail from/to the appropriate source/destination.

* Perform technical research utilizing manuals, publications, catalogs, bulletins and directives.

* Perform phase kit/related consumable material level adjustments as directed. Submit recommended changes to Lead/Supervisor.

* Perform required inventory functions as directed. Compile usage data for periodic excessing reviews.

* Type, route and file correspondence and related documentation.

* Maintain appropriate records of all work accomplished.

* May be required to perform duties of Aeronautical Material Screening Unit (AMSU) clerk.

* Accurately complete and sign individual employee daily timesheet.

* Responsible for adhering to all applicable Foreign Object Damage (FOD) prevention and Tool Control rules and regulations including participation in FOD walkdowns when directed.

* Maintain cleanliness of the work center and around your assigned work area.

* Comply with established general and industrial safety rules and regulations as applicable to the contract, facilities, and job assignment.

* Maintain appropriate records of all work accomplished.

+ Comply with established Hazardous Material/Waste Programs and Local, State, and Federal Environmental Protection Agency regulations.

* Perform simple computer input and extraction functions.

+ May be required to perform duties of HAZMAT/HazWaste Custodian or Assistant Custodian when authorized and designated.

* Assist when directed to ensure safety, security and preservation of government owned and company owned equipment and property.

* Share technical knowledge with other company employees to enhance accomplishment of assigned tasks.

* May be required to assist other employees in the performance of their duties.

* Perform other duties when directed.

* May be required to pass a respirator physical and wear a respirator.

* Initiate reports required under the Naval Aviation Maintenance Discrepancy Reporting Program (NAMDRP).

* When directed, assist management in investigating reports of defective material, workmanship or work sites incidents.

* Required to handle hazardous materials in performance of assigned duties.

* Attend meetings/training when directed

* Assist in the search for lost tools/items when directed.

* May be required to operate a forklift.

* May be required to be qualified to operate a laser engraver.

* May be temporarily assigned to work at NAS Corpus Christi, TX

* Maintains the highest ethical personal and professional standards

POSITION SCOPE AND CHARTER

Satisfactory completion of U.S. Armed Forces material control courses or civilian equivalent or three (3) years experience within the last six (6) years in aviation supply required. Must be able to meet any Government/Company licensing/qualification requirements for the position. Must be able to obtain the level of industrial security clearance required by the government. Must attend and successfully complete HAZMAT training as required for this position.

Must have three (3) years experience in aviation supply procedures. Computer key punch experience or equivalent typing experience required.

Must be able to obtain a government Common Access Card (CAC) within six (6) months and maintain the required Security Clearance.

Must have a valid state operator's license and be able to pass the government licensing requirements for support equipment and forklifts.

Knowledge of materials used and safety precautions as applicable to usage.

Familiarization with COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 series, and other applicable Navy instructions, maintenance instruction manuals, IPB's, manufacturer's manuals and company instructions as required for the performance of job functions.

Graduation from a standard four (4) year high school or equivalent (GED).

The following skills and abilities are required:

Obtain and maintain all applicable GSE Licenses.

Must become familiar with Company and Government Environmental, Health and Safety, Quality Control and Property Control policies and procedures and local operating procedures within sixty (60) days of date of hire or assignment to position.

Must be able to read, speak, write legibly, and understand the English language.

Must have graduated from or complete within 30 days of hire, a Navy approved corrosion training course.

Must have the ability to accurately carry out written and verbal orders, instructions, and directives.

Must be able to work weekends, other shifts and overtime as required.

Some travel will be required.
