Per Diem II Registered Nurse for Recovery Room

Shift: Rotating

  • Deliver safe direct care to assigned patients as required
  • Implement and document individualized care plans incorporating age-specific considerations, including discharge planning and patient/family teaching.
  • Assist with special tests and procedures, ensuring proper consent has been obtained.
  • Participate in orientation and upon successful completion of preceptor training, assume precepting and evaluation responsibilities of new personnel.
  • Administer medication, including IV medication, via The Seven Rights; document and communicate clinical findings.
  • Maintain a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for patients/families in line with Hospitals standards.
  • Enhance professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, reading current literature, attending in-services, meetings and workshops.

Qualifications:
  • Program Graduate (essential)
  • Bachelor's Degree (nonessential)
  • Nationally Accredited Nursing Graduate (essential)
  • 1 year directly related experience (essential)
  • Bilingual English, Spanish, Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa, Zuni, or Navajo (nonessential)
  • CPR for Healthcare/BLS Prov or Prof Rescuers w/in 30 days (essential)
  • RN in NM or as allowed by reciprocal agreement by NM (essential)
  • Nationally Certified in the area of specialty (nonessential)
  • PALS (nonessential)
  • TNCC (nonessential)
  • ENPC (nonessential)
Physical Conditions:
  • Heavy Work: Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects or people. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Medium Work.
Working Conditions:
  • Significant Hazard: Chemicals, Bio-Hazardous Materials require PPE.
