Job DescriptionEssential Job Duties: Interpret and enter medication orders and prescriptions, assessing for indications, allergies, duplications, dosages, and interactions. Contacts prescriber on any problems and completes any required clinical documentation. Supervise and serve as a resource person for pharmacy staff, manage the Pharmacy in the absence of the Director, Pharmacy Staff Development Supervisor, and Clinical Coordinator. Provide drug information to health care professionals, patients, and the public Professional competency and clinical knowledge is demonstrated and maintained Works efficiently to make productive use of time and uses down periods for productive purposes Promotes cost effective use of medications Ensure the safe use of medications Documents interventions accurately and completely and follows up on unresolved interventions.Secondary Job Duties That May be Reassigned: Documents clinical activities accurately and completely Provide patient counseling when needed Demonstrates knowledge and skill necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served Performs and completes other tasks and responsibilities as assigned.QualificationsJob Specifications: Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy with a B.S. or Pharm.D. degree.
