$500 sign-on bonus What you will do We're looking for a highly engaged, motivated, and responsible individual to join our high-throughput Embryo Technology Animal Care (ET AC) team in Dixon, CA. The successful candidate will work closely with the ET AC team to support custom mouse model creation, cryopreservation, rederivation, cross by microinjection and IVF, etc. Primary responsibilities for this onsite role include performing animal husbandry duties, such as room sanitation, cage change, daily health checks, post-operative monitoring, breeder setup and takedown, tail biopsy for genotyping, cross-fostering, wean, etc. and specialized tasks such as hormone administration via intraperitoneal injection, estrus check, plug check, colony and room transfer, and other support tasks for the IVF/cryopreservation and microinjection labs. The incumbent should consistently exhibit professional and collegial behavior, and communicate with members in other teams, within and across departments. Job responsibilities may expand or change with departmental focus and needs. Who are we looking for? A candidate that possesses a Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or related discipline, and

2 years of relevant experience in rodent research animal science or husbandry is

required.

Proficiency in mouse handling, sexing, and health assessment is

required.

AALAS certification at the ALAT level is preferred.

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above. Shift hours are 11 am to 8 pm on Wednesday, and 8 am to 5 pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday with availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. The pay range for this position is $27 - 30.95 USD per hour.
