Position: Scanning and Indexing Clerk Job Description: The Scanning and Indexing Clerk is responsible for scanning and indexing all Forward Air documents into the IMS/21 system. This person will be doing data entry, labeling, scanning and any other AR clerical duties needed. Core Duties & Responsibilities: + Creates scanning batches for all the different Forward Air documents + Manages and indexes the batches + Distributes the batches to the appropriate departments when complete + Complete PODS are priority and is indexed every hour throughout the day + Follow up on any complete pods that are not legible when sent into GCY. + Break down any Forward Air billing or pod documents that are sent to corporate from the stations. Documents consist of Forward Air pros, air cargo transfer manifests, master airway bills, or other supporting documents. + Other duties as assigned Requirements: + Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent + Ability to maintain effective accounting procedures such as accuracy and detail + Demonstrated ability to carry out assignments to their completion + Provide excellent customer service and professional etiquette + Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and managers + Desire for a long-term career with an industry leading company + Ability to present and maintain a positive corporate image in a fast paced environment + Proactively establish and maintain effective working team relationships with all support departments + Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products including; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc. + Desire to acquire working knowledge of company practices, methods and resources made available + Ability to acquire working knowledge of trucking industry Skills: + Ideal candidate will possess a “can do” attitude with a “will do” work ethic + Must have the ability to work in a fast paced environment + Strong verbal and written communication skills + Experience with AS400 operating systems is a plus + Transportation industry knowledge and experience is a plus Forward Air is an Equal Opportunity employer. #IND About Us Since 1990, Forward Air has been a leading provider of ground transportation and related logistics services to the North American air freight and expedited LTL market.
