Job Description

The Dispatcher will act as a communication point for all calls: coordinate requests, transmit messages and track vehicles. This individual would enable different parties to communicate well by ensuring the accurate and timely transmission of information.

Role Priorities / Responsibilities:

•Answer customer calls and dispatch customer requests for product or service delivery

•Document all calls

•Coordinate with supervisor to allocate, schedule, and assign jobs to the workforce

•Coordinate with the technicians, billable or non-billable ticket

•Permit vehicles with local, tribal, and state authorities

•Enter data into computer system and keep dispatch records/logs and status reports

•Coordinate with billing personnel

•Address problems and requests by transmitting information or providing solutions

•Plans and organizes appropriate work time and resource requirements

•Use radio, phone or computer to send crews, vehicles or other field units to appropriate locations

•Monitor the route and status of field units to coordinate and prioritize their schedule

•Provide field units with information about orders, traffic, obstacles and requirements

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

•Ability to prioritize calls according to urgency and importance

•Need to have experience and understanding of trucking and/ or oilfield environment

•Ability to remain calm and composed

•Must be able to multi-task

•Ability to take appropriate action with little supervision

•Results oriented and driven to complete customer jobs

•Excellent verbal and written communication skills

•Strong organization skills

•Proficient computer and telephone skills
