Position DetailsSalary: 23.68 - 34.34 HourlyShift: Evenings, 12-hour shiftsStatus: PRNReporting to Director of Nursing/Maternal Child Services, this position has knowledge of obstetrical procedures and is immediately accountable to the RN's directing patient care. The OB Technician is accountable for organizing his/her duties and responsibilities, observing principles of sterile technique, following directions provided by the RN and/or PCC, and working within a collaborative framework.Reporting to Nurse Manager this position has knowledge of obstetrical procedures and is immediately accountable to the RN's directing patient care. The Surgical Tech/Unit Secretary is responsible for observing principles of sterile technique and following direction provided by the RN.Ability to meet all job & physical requirements as outlined in job description or as agreed through a work place accommodation.Current BLS certification required Previous OB Technician or Surgical Technician experience in an acute care setting is preferred High school graduation or equivalent preferred Surgical Technician certification preferred One year recent experience as a unit secretary preferred Completion of Terminology Course preferred Prior computer experience highly desirable Relevant Experience: 1-3 Years
