**This is a night shift position from 7 PM-730 AM**

Avenir Behavioral Center is a 32-bed adult Behavioral Hospital that has been serving the Surprise Community and surrounding areas since May 2019. We strive to provide excellent patient care. We are looking for a flexible, fun, and enthusiastic person to add to the intake team We are looking for employees who want to help out in the community and have a better work/life balance. We have part-time and full-time positions available. There are a variety of shifts available.

Job Description:

  • Receives and responds to call inquiries for potential admissions and generalized questions.
  • Obtains the required information to facilitate admissions.
  • Makes referrals for persons who are not appropriate for admission.
  • Ensure that requests for evaluation are responded to in a timely manner with a thorough evaluation and appropriate disposition.
  • Facilitate direct admissions by coordinating with the Physician, referring facility, ABHC staff, and insurance authorizations.
  • Review new and pending admissions daily in order to ensure that clinical, financial, insurance and administrative information has been accurately obtained and acted upon.
  • Ensure that prior authorizations are obtained for admissions.
  • Organize information on the patient's current needs and provide a succinct clinical presentation to the admitting physician.
EDUCATION:
Registered Nurse

EXPERIENCE:
Experience with crisis management or patient intake preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Current CPR and First Aid (preferred)
Current CPI certification (preferred)

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing

SKILLS:
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Strong interpersonal skills
