As a Planner at Donaldson you will assist the production control team with managing the demand plan and supplier performance in addition to leading continuous improvement projects. Collaborating with suppliers, operations, and customers will be key to successfully managing these initiatives.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Develops and coordinates production schedules based on customer orders and delivery requirements.

  • Plans and develops weekly production line schedules of assigned departments based on the master schedule plan.

  • May schedule rework, unfinished parts and assemblies, new product releases and special orders.
    Prepares all necessary support materials for scheduling which includes ordering route sheets, preparing shop packets, establishing part numbers, reviewing orders for accuracy and ability to build, entering all requirements into the computer and preparing shipping documents. Initiates physical inventory counts.

  • Expedites and secures parts needed for production by the time they are scheduled for production.

  • Coordinates and integrates the flow of materials and information among suppliers, manufacturers, distributors and customers.

  • Recommend adjustments for operational forecast and review promotional plans, new business and customer forecasts from sales.

  • Prepare and maintain relevant reports pertaining to demand planning process

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or 2+ years professional level planning, logistics, materials, or sourcing experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with SAP, Oracle or Epicor

  • Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
