Job Overview:Reports to: Operations ManagerLocation: Everett, WAType: Full-TimeSchedule: 1st ShiftValence Surface Technologies production is open 24 hours per day. All shifts are as follows: 1st shift (Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:30pm), 2nd shift (Monday-Friday 12:00pm-8:30pm, 3rd shift (Sunday-Thursday 10:00pm 6:30am)Job Summary:Paint helpers are responsible for preparing a variety of parts for painting.Job Description:Assist the Painter in daily activities not involving actual spraying of paintPrepare parts by hand sanding and solvent cleaningMix a variety of chromate and non-chromated primers and topcoatsLay parts out and maneuver for eased application of paintComplete work order and necessary paperwork during paint processAccurately process and document oven charts and temperaturesSweeping and cleaning the paint shop as necessaryObserve safety regulations and wear protective masks and clothing while performing daily activitiesManage hazardous materials safely and in accordance with state and federal regulationsSetup and label cubic yard hazardous waste storage boxesOther duties as assignedQualifications:Accountability - Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her actions.Accuracy - Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.Ambition - The drive to achieve personal advancement.Applied Learning - Ability to participate in needed learning activities in a way that makes the most of the learning experience.Communication, Oral - Ability to communicate effectively with others using the spoken word.Customer Oriented - Ability to take care of the customers' needs while following company procedures.Ethical - Ability to demonstrate conduct conforming to a set of values and accepted standards.Goal Oriented - Ability to focus on a goal and obtain a pre-determined result.Honesty / Integrity - Ability to be truthful and be seen as credible in the workplace.Initiative - Ability to make decisions or take actions to solve a problem or reach a goal.Motivation - Ability to inspire oneself and others to reach a goal and/or perform to the best of their ability.Persistence - Ability to complete tasks or continue in a course of action in spite of opposition or discouragement.Safety Awareness - Ability to identify and correct conditions that affect employee safety.Self Motivated - Ability to be internally inspired to perform a task to the best of ones ability using his or her own drive or initiative.Working Under Pressure - Ability to complete assigned tasks under stressful situations.Time Management - Ability to utilize the available time to organize and complete work within given deadlines.Reliability - The trait of being dependable and trustworthy.Responsible - Ability to be held accountable or answerable for one's conduct.Requirements:Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (Required)Experience- No experience required.Benefits:Compensation Range: $17.50 to $19.82 per hours (DOE) + shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shift.Medical, Dental, Vision, Employer Paid Basic Life, Supplemental Life Insurance, 401k with a 3% Employer MatchGenerous Paid Time Off Program7 Holidays and 2 Floater HolidayOn-the-job training,no experience requiredJoin agreat company with opportunities for growthWork Environment:Temperatures in the work environment can fluctuate with outside weather conditions.
