CSI Companies is looking for Medical Assistants to assist in quality care of those with nephrology. Title: Medical Assistant Pay $17/hr to $22/hr DOE Hours: Full Time on a hybrid schedule Location: Great Philadelphia, PA Responsibilities: Creates, reviews, and revises patients plan of care. Documenting patient labs, blood pressure, blood sugar, weight, diet/nutrition, and any other health behavior than could affect outcome Establish patient goals and interventions Ensures stage appropriate referrals for education, vascular access, and transplants are completed Maintains consistent communication with all patients Participates in patient enrollment in programs by gathering all clinical elements necessary. Educate patients about benefits of the programs. Performs medication reconciliations Collaborates with several specialists on necessary care and services Acts as a patient advocate, liaison, and information resource Monitors and reports patient outcomes through plan of care Provides chronic care education for nephrology and chronic/complex conditions Provides culturally appropriate education Performs timely and accurate documentation Performs other related duties as assigned or needed. Qualifications: Broad understanding of physician front- and back-office practices. Knowledge of insurance carriers, copays, and eligibility verification. Telephonic customer service experience preferred. Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable, and strong time management skills Ability to interact customers in a professional manner. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Bilingual preferred. Education and Experiences: High school diploma or equivalent. Medical Assistant degree, diploma, or Certificate. Preferred Nephology experience. 1 year minimum of clinical experience.
