DescriptionCOMPETITIVE WAGES COMMENSURATE WITH EXPERIENCEBASIC QUALIFICATIONSEDUCATION/TRAINING: Minimum high school diploma or equivalent Valid driver's license required with a clean driving record0 SKILLS: Knowledge of computer functions, including designated organization-approved electronic software Excellent communication skills with residents, staff, families and the public Ability to read, write, speak, understand and communicate in English sufficiently to perform the duties of this positionEXPERIENCE: General knowledge of painting, plumbing, electric and carpentry with knowledge of preventative maintenance, landscaping and snow plowingGENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Assist in the overall maintenance of both the building and the groundsUnderstanding of state and federal healthcare laws and regulationsSTANDARD REQUIREMENTS:Support the Mission, Values and Vision of the Holland Christian HomeUnderstand and honor the Christian principles of the organizationDemonstrate an understanding of the Residential Living principles, including resident choice, privacy, independence, and dignity in all interactions with residentsDemonstrate an understanding of the aging process, cognitive impairments, Alzheimer's and other dementiasEnsure all assigned user ID codes and passwords for accessing resident / facility information are kept confidential; ensure the departmental computer workstations left unattended are properly logged off or the password protected automatic screen-saver activates within established facility policy guidelinesReport known or suspected incidents of fraud to the AdministratorReport any known or suspected unauthorized attempt to access facility's information system Maintain HIPAA compliance as well as confidentiality of all data, including resident, employee and operations data Exhibit concern for safety and well-being of staff, residents, families, and visitorsESSENTIAL DUTIES: Follow assignments as directed by the Director of Maintenance both in the building and on the grounds Inspect and observe building, grounds and equipment for any repair and improvements needed - report observations to the Director of Maintenance Interior painting, including resident rooms, hallways and common areas Insure a safe physical environment for residents and staff Be available for emergency calls on a 24 hour basis, including snow removal Maintain a good working relationship with vendors and subcontractors Work with Maintenance and other departments to insure compliance with State regulations Assist with all fire drills, emergencies and disaster plans Rotating holiday coverage Keep and maintain preventative maintenance logs and well water report logOTHER DUTIES:Timely completion of all required in-servicesMust be present for at least one mandatory annual fire drillMust participate in annual N95 Fit Testing All other responsibilities that may be necessary to fulfill the duties associated with the position or as may be assigned Weekend driver for wheelchair van as needed for residentsHOURS OF WORK:As per department scheduleWeekends, if requiredRequirementsCurrent drivers license in good standing
