Position Title: Paraprofessional, Preschool, Special Services
Department: Special Services
Reports To: Elementary Principal

Hours: School Days 8:00am-3:30pm Hourly wage: $16/hour
Benefits: NDPERS Retirement, Portion of Single Health Insurance, 5 sick days

Richland #44 School District is a Class B school district of about 270 students with two school buildings (PK-6 in Abercrombie and 7-12 in Colfax). We are idyllically located about halfway between Fargo and Wahpeton, giving families and staff the best of both worlds with a small-town feel close to larger areas. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES. Other duties may be assigned.

• Assists teacher in routine classroom operation.
• Demonstrates understanding of student's areas of strengths and weaknesses.
• Demonstrates initiative and creativity with students and their program.
• Manages and instructs small groups of students under the supervision of a licensed teacher.
• Assists students in the restroom as necessary.
• Be flexible in schedule and activities throughout the day.
• Follows school and district policies.
• Model activities for students in the regular education classroom (e.g., electives.)
