Pharmacy Technician

Job Description•Exceed our customers' evolving expectations by providing World Class customer service and a pleasant and rewarding shopping experience.•Build relationships with and educate our customers in order to create sales.•Verify customer information on receipt matches actual prescription container at pick up.•Gather and record drop-off information needed to prepare prescription.•Gather prescription refill orders on a daily basis.•Help patients find over the counter medications without making a recommendation.•Operate a cash register.Requirements•Ability to represent A Culture of Caring and The Pursuit of Excellence™ through Big Y's Firm Foundations™ (Character, Collaboration, Personal Development, Actions & Results).•MA - Able to pass Pharmacy Technician Registration after 500-1000 hours of training.•CT - Must complete state application process and work with a registered tech for 30 days to become registered.•Must have a high school diploma, GED or enrolled in GED program.•Must complete HIPAA training.•Must project a clean and professional appearance.•Must be a team player with a positive attitude and businesslike conduct.•Ability to operate within Company policies, procedures, and standards.•Ability to work a flexible schedule in accordance with the needs of the pharmacy.•Attention to detail, accuracy, ability to prioritize and follow-through.•Possess excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.•Ability to learn and utilize computer applications.•Must be 18 years of age.•Must consent to and pass a drug screen and background investigation.
