Certified Orthotist/Prosthetist- Detroit, MI

Job Type: Full time (Onsite)

Shift: Monday to Friday

Job Summary:

• Provides clinical services including measurement, fit, fabrication, adjustment, and repair. Produces Orthotic or Prosthetic devices; establishes standards for their design and fabrication in relation to the physician orders.
• Instruct patient in the use of prosthetic and/or orthotic devices
• Ability to read, interpret, and analyze physician's orders.
• Collaborate with physicians in the evaluation and analysis of a patient's need for prosthetic and/or orthotic services; recommend treatment options to physicians when necessary.
• Provide in-service training to physicians and allied health care professionals.

• Completion of a residency program or an equivalent combination of education and experience with certification (ABC or BOC)
• Bachelor's degree or higher in orthotics and prosthetics.
• Completion of a residency program or a minimum of 3 years of field experience.
• Must be willing to travel occasionally to different locations.
