Summary/Objective
EnviroSmart has a current need for a full-time

Occupational Safety and Health Coordinator (OSHC)

on a facility operation support services contract at a Federal law enforcement training facility in Clinton, MD. Facility consists of multiple administrative, training, and support structures spread over a 300+ acre campus. Infrastructure and assets include indoor firing ranges and associated target, bullet trap, and ventilation systems; building structural components such as roofing and flooring; real property installed equipment such as mechanical, electrical, plumbing, conveyance, and life safety systems; HVAC systems including boilers, chillers, and roof top units; and fuel systems including storage tanks.

Position Duties:
Monitoring the cleaning of indoor firing ranges and ancillary rooms for sufficient lead dust removal;
Performing hazard assessments and addressing all hazards identified;
Industrial hygiene monitoring in accordance with OSHA requirements;
Maintaining the medical monitoring program;
Providing and ensuring that all training is adequate and up-to-date including, but not limited to, hazardous waste operations, hazard communication, lead (Pb) awareness, respiratory protection, confined space, industrial fork truck operations, and lock-out/tag-out program management and training;
Inspecting and marking material handling equipment in accordance with OSHA requirements;
Providing fire extinguisher and emergency egress equipment inspections Facility wide;
Noise and heat stress monitoring;
Updating and enforcing Site and Task-Specific Health and Safety Plans and other programs such as explosive safety, lead control, and respiratory protection;
Serving as back-up Hazardous Waste Handler and providing day-to-day direction to the primary Hazardous Waste Handler; and
Serving as the facility Competent Person in accordance with OSHA lead standards.
Required Eligibility Qualifications
Five (5) years of experience in managing occupational safety and health programs.
Education Requirement
High School Diploma or higher
Certifications/Training/ Licensure
OSHA 501 Trainer Course in OSHA Standards for General Industry
OSHA 510 Occupational Safety and Health Standards for the Construction Industry
OSHA 511 Occupational Safety and

Health Standards for General Industry
NFPA 10 Standard for Portable Fire

Extinguishers NFPA 101, Life Safety

Code
First Aid, CPR & AED Certification &

Instructors Course
Hazardous Waste Operations and

Emergency Response (HAZWOPER), in

accordance with 29 CFR 1910.120.
Additional environmental training for the

OSHC may subsequently be identified by

FLETC, as required.

The OSHC shall

complete this training in a timely manner

in order to maintain regulatory

compliance

Typically 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday unless otherwise required by a job/project.
