Job Type Full-timeDescriptionAs a vital part of the Clinical Care Team, the Medical Assistant (Allergy & Immunology) will assist in direct and indirect patient care, for optimal patient health outcomes, by performing a combination of clinical/administrative tasks while delivering outstanding customer service. Medical Assistant Benefits: Monday -Friday ScheduleFull Time HoursNo Nights, Weekends, or On CallsClosed Holidays10 Paid HolidaysPaid Time OffBenefits Packages Offered Medical Assistant Responsibilities: •Securing and documenting current patient medical histories•Obtaining patient vital signs & providing patient assistance during rooming•Preparing and administering injections & performing testing as ordered•Chart preparation for scheduled office visits•Prepare exam rooms with needed equipment, maintaining/troubleshooting equipment, and facilitating room turnover.•Processing laboratory requisitions•Sterile set up for procedures as well as serve in the non-sterile circulator role during procedures as needed.•Scheduling office appointments•Processing patient phone call encounters, prescription refills, prescription/biologic prior authorizations, and patient education under the direction of the provider•Inventory stock and recognizing supply needs for department/office.•Updating job knowledge and skill set through training/educational resources.•Protects and serves the patient and practice through adherence to practice policy and federal requirements.•Ensures a safe working environment, maintaining OSHA compliance adherence.•Assuming other duties as appropriateRequirements•Successful completion of formal Medical Assistant Program (MA, RMA, or CMA)•1-2 years' experience in a medical office preferred.•Customer focus, professional•Excellent verbal and written communication skills•Maintains confidentiality & honesty in all interactions.•Strong organization/Attention to Detail•Successfully works well independently and as a team.•Ability to multi-task and prioritize.•Knowledgeable in medical terminology•Experience with EPIC & Microsoft Office •Ability & confidence to perform vitals & administer injections. Salary Description $17-$19 per hour
