PreOp/PACU Charge Nurse

A hospital in need of a PreOp/PACU Charge Nurse is offering reimbursement for relocation Join our team of healthcare professionals to promote and restore patients’ health through direct nursing care and collaboration with our multidisciplinary team. The job involves a moderate degree of complexity with frequent new and varied work situations.

  • Designate shift and schedule assignments
  • Delegate tasks and supervise the activities of other care providers
  • Ensure patient safety through following protocols and reporting potential or actual patient safety concerns in a timely manner
  • Promote patient's independence through teaching patients, friends, identified ley caregiver and family to understand condition, medications, and self-care skills
  • Maintain a cooperative relationship among healthcare teams and resolve patient problems and needs by utilizing multidisciplinary team strategies

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification within 6 months
  • Basic Arrhythmia Certification within 1 year
  • Registered Nurse in NM or as allowed by reciprocal agreement by NM
  • CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Prof Rescuers within 30 days
  • Heavy Work: Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally
  • Physical risk/injuries due to combative patients
