That is what sets Cayuga Medical Associates apart.We offer a very competitive compensation and benefits package including sign-on bonuses for eligible positions, as well as liberal paid time-offOur full-time and our benefited part-time employees receive the same benefits package (paid time-off benefits are prorated for part-timers)Health insurance coverage becomes effective within four weeks of your start date.PTO is available to use immediatelyTuition reimbursement is available for career-related education.What you'll do:Performs high quality dynamic static, and SPECT imaging procedures utilizing patient population specific standards to obtain the desired diagnostic patient information for the referring physicianPerforms various radiopharmacy duties including receipt, preparation, administration and storage of radionuclides and radiopharmaceuticals to ensure safety and integrity of the agents used.Performs quality control procedures to ensure optimal performance of gamma cameras, computers and other related auxiliary equipment (dose calibrators, well counters, video imagers, etc.)Practices safe handling of radioactive materials according to departmental, NRC and State regulations to ensure minimal radiation exposure to self and others.Performs quality and compassionate patient care in order to ensure patient cooperation, safety and satisfactionPerforms various record keeping, customer service functions and communicates feedback in order to ensure goals of the department are met and operation runs efficiently.Performs duties directly involved with a variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgement and initiative in the utilization of Nuclear Medicine equipmentAdheres to the standards for NYS Department of Health.Will be closely involved with and responsible for participation in state, federal and accreditation agency(s) inspections.Responsible for safety precautions for patients and workers in regards to radiation exposureWrites and updates protocols for CHI of CMA nuclear cardiology.Acts as technical director for IAC Nuclear Cardiology (re)accreditation. Responsible for submitting all documents required.Our ideal candidate will have: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or related field CPR certification requiredNuclear Medicine Technologist State license in New York Certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) or ARRT (N)Knowledge of nuclear medicine procedures and equipment Strong IV skills Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols accuratelyStrong written and verbal communication skills, able to interact effectively with physicians, patients, vendors, peers, staff, and management. Maintains the highest level of confidentiality at all timesAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and able to respond professionally and efficiently to emergent situations *Please note, not all of the listed skills are necessary to be qualified or considered for this role.
