POSITION SUMMARY To perform CT procedures as requested and be knowledgeable in all aspects of the department. To be able to function and use independent judgment without direct supervision. To assist in other areas of the department as necessary. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS Licenses and Certifications Required ARRT registered or registry eligible NDMIRTBE licensed (Temporary, Active/Current, or Conditional) Educational Requirements Experience Requirements Specialized training in CT on the equipment presently used in the CT scanning area Ability to manage multiple priorities Ability to start IVs (Venipuncture) for contrast administration Proper charging of procedures by hospital information system Ability to adapt and learn new protocols on new equipment as purchased Understands CT Physics and is able to manipulate protocols as to produce optimum imaging studies for all patient types Able to operate physiological monitoring equipment Special Skills or Training Requirements Specialized training in CT on the equipment presently used in the CT scanning area; Advanced registry in CT preferred Must be able to work effectively under stress and in emergency situations; This person will need to touble-shoot equipment occasionally; Ability to correct, develop, and pursue new protocols and procedures as technology and equipment changes or advances; An acute understanding of triaging emergent situations is a must POSITION SUMMARY To perform CT procedures as requested and be knowledgeable in all aspects of the department.
