**Overview:**

Prepare surfaces and applies paint, varnish, stain, wall paper and coatings to help beautify and protect exterior and interior surfaces, trimmings, and fixtures to preserve buildings, equipment, midways and rides.

**How You'll Make A Difference:**

* Prepare surfaces by sanding, scraping, or other means to attain desired surface to apply paint, wallpaper or product specified to inside and outside surfaces of buildings, structures, rides, and other areas.

* Prepares repairs such as drywall repair, stucco repair, etc.

* Utilize pre-coating agents, filling and leveling materials, and mix and match colors and textures.

* Read blueprints, drawings, technical specifications and material data sheets in the successful completion of assigned painting task.

* Apply paint, vinyl and wallpaper including special papers and fabrics to walls, furniture and structures.

* Prepare surfaces and apply paints, stains, shading stains, and clear finishes.

* Remove previous paint by means of sandblasting, scraping, sanding, hydro-blasting and steam-cleaning.

* Inspect and refurbish wall surfaces by means of the appropriate materials.

* Uses HVLP (conventional) spray equipment.

* Preforms airless rig operations.

* Paints with brush and roller.

* Preforms work on scaffold/elevated platforms.

* Performs occasional operation of forklifts.

* Operates pressure washers.

* Monitors shop stock/inventory.

* Maintains clean work area.

* Other dutires as assigned.

**We're Looking For:**

* Minimum 3-5 years of practical experience painting is required

* Strong communication skills and ability to work from color blueprints

* High level working with shop tools

* Prior experience mixing paint products a must

* Ability to work independently and as a team as well as meet deadlines

* Must have a reliable source of transportation outside of public transit

* Able to work flexible shifts (starting at 6am) including evenings, on weekends and holidays

* Must be comfortable working on ladders and from heights.
