Job Description:Clinical Informatics Analyst - Staff is responsible to perform workflow and system analysis and functional design for software development / configuration activities associated with Epic and other HIT-related initiatives. Also, responsible to participate in the implementation, training curriculum development, and the adoption and process improvement of Epic and other clinical information systems. The Clinical Informatics Analyst acts as a liaison with business and clinical users and the software development / application team(s). The Clinical Informatics Analyst - Staff functions as a liaison with business and clinical users and the software development/application teams. This position utilizes intermediate informatics principles, to support and periodically lead moderately complex projects with limited supervision, while continuing to develop clinical understanding and informatics skillset. Epic & Peri-Op and Periprocedural experience is desired. Job Essentials Maintains a moderate level of understanding of functional design methodologies, tools and techniques to effectively work with customers / staff to determine needs, specifications, feasibility, priorities for development, and configuration requests and projects Documents and recommends workflow changes and functional requirements, specifications, and design solutions needed to support the business requirements for common and moderately complex problems. Does this in coordination with the appropriate clinical program / clinical service, region / division, and designated approved end-user advisory group Participates with information systems in basic to moderately complex issues, incidents, problems according to agreed upon service levels and according to defined standards and processes. Collaboratively works with peers, information systems, internal and external stakeholders, and vendors Provides subject matter expertise to information systems; collaborates with information systems in the technical design, technical implementation, and technical operations of assigned systems and integrations Collaborates with key clinical and business stakeholders to determine business rules, needs, specifications, feasibility (workflow and cost), and priorities for application development / configuration / acquisition requests and projects with a basic to moderate level of complexity and according to organizational standards and processes. Consults with key business stakeholders and collaborates with information systems on selection and acquisition of 3rd party solutions Collaborates with key stakeholder group(s) (e.g. Clinical Programs, Clinical Services, Regions / Divisions, etc.) and key IS staff in the acquisition, configuration, development, testing, and implementation of solutions (vended and internally developed) with a moderate level of complex Participates, and collaborates with key stakeholders in the development of training and knowledge-based materials and in training peers, trainers, and as needed, end-users Participates in the creation and management of project plans for projects with a basic to moderate level of complexity. Consistently meets agreed upon deadlines or escalates issues, concerns, and barriers to key project leaders. Assists in the prioritization of tasks / assignments Minimum Qualifications Clinical bachelor's or graduate degree (including, but not limited to: Nursing, Pharmacy, Respiratory, Physical Therapy, etc.) Registered Nurse and other clinical incumbents must hold and maintain current state licensure. - or - Business, or Information Technology related bachelor's or graduate degree (e.g. Business Information Systems, etc.) - or - Clinical degree (including, but not limited to: Nursing, Pharmacy, Respiratory, Physical Therapy, etc.) - or - Combined seven years or more toward any of the following: - or - Degree equivalent: experience working in Healthcare Information echnology showing skills in portfolio and project management, obtainment of technical and subject matter expertise, effective written and verbal communication, and effective informatics skillset in an integrated healthcare delivery network. Education obtained concurrently with work experience are counted cumulatively. - and - One year of informatics experience performing gap analysis, problem definition, HIT optimization, workflow analysis, and other informatics core skills and demonstrating proficiency in change management, organizational skills and continuous improvement. - and - Three years of experience working in a clinically focused role (Patient Care Tech, Medical Assistant, Health Unit Coordinator, Pharmacy Technician, Clinical Informatics Analyst, etc.) in an integrated healthcare system - and - Registered Nurse and other clinical incumbents must hold and maintain current state licensure. - and - Ability to adapt and adopt new technologies, processes, form relationships with member of the care team with diverse backgrounds, prioritize work in accordance to deadlines, and work flex hours based on project requirements - and - Professional customer experience & service, verbal, and written communication skills with ability to prioritize and organize work with attention to detail and limited supervision or revision - and - Experience using word processing, spreadsheet, database, internet and e-mail, virtual meeting applications, and scheduling applications and - Ability to engage providers and clinicians in learning through effective presentation and communication skills
