Position Overview:
The IT Specialist will be responsible for overseeing internet issues, troubleshooting technical problems, managing installations, and ensuring the smooth operation of servers and devices used for day-to-day operations and Sunday services. The Tech Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting the church's technology needs and ensuring that all systems are running efficiently.
Core Competencies:
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in IT support, system administration, or a similar role.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with staff at all levels.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) are a plus.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues with hardware, software, and network systems.
- Network Administration: Understanding of network infrastructure and ability to manage network systems, including internet connectivity.
- Hardware and Software Installation: Experience in installing and configuring hardware and software systems.
- Server Management: Ability to manage and maintain servers, ensuring they are running smoothly and efficiently.
- Device Management: Experience in managing and maintaining devices used for day-to-day operations and Sunday services, including computers, tablets, and other devices.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with staff and volunteers, explaining technical issues and solutions in a clear and understandable manner.
- Organization: Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with other church staff and leaders, providing technical support and advice as needed.

- Oversee internet connectivity and troubleshoot connectivity issues as they arise.
- Ensure IT/wi-fi systems are working properly and maintained routinely.
- Manage IT requests for all campuses.
- Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment necessary for IT operations, replenishing items as needed.
- Address Internet, Tech, issues and concerns raised by church members or staff promptly and professionally.
- Manage IT vendors and coordinate services as needed.
- Oversee the church's IT systems, including networks, servers, computers, and software applications, to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to staff and volunteers, resolving IT-related issues in a timely manner.
- Manage hardware and software assets, including procurement, installation, configuration, and maintenance, to meet the church's operational needs.
- Plan and execute IT projects, such as system upgrades, migrations, and deployments, to enhance the church's technological capabilities and efficiency for all locations.
- Coordinate with IT vendors and service providers, including negotiating contracts, managing relationships, and overseeing service delivery.
- Respond to IT emergencies and critical incidents, such as system outages or security breaches, to minimize disruption and restore service.
- Monitor system performance and conduct routine maintenance tasks, such as backups and software updates.
- Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure the security and integrity of data and systems.
- Administer user accounts, permissions, and access controls for various IT systems and applications.
- Monitor network security measures, such as firewalls and intrusion detection systems, to protect against cyber threats.
- Manage and maintain all devices.
- Collaborate with other church staff and leaders to assess technology needs and implement solutions.
- Provide tech setup and support for day-to-day operations, Sunday services, and special events including computers, tablets, and other devices.
- Assist with product and device inventory for Change Church.
- Stay informed about new technology trends and developments, and recommend upgrades or changes to existing systems as needed.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Set-up, operate, and maintain Change Media Equipment
- Ability to terminate CAT 5, CAT 6, Cat 8, SDI, and BNC cables
- Has Knowledge on extensive and comprehensive cable runs for Ethernet, SDI,XLR, and BNC lines
- Collaborate with production and media teams to execute events and Sunday services
- Manage Clear Com systems
- Other related duties as assigned.
