We're seeking a compassionate and driven Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team Our unit comprises of 43 beds with 9 being post-surgical stepdown. We have a nurse-to-patient ratio averaging 5:6 and 3:1 in stepdown. Given the high modality of the cases we handle, our nursing team is closely connected, offering support within the workplace.   • Provide specialized care and monitor patients closely.
  • Work with healthcare teams to develop care plans for patients.
  • Manage complex conditions and perform necessary procedures.
  • Respond quickly to emergencies and perform life-saving interventions.
  • Educate patients and families on care and treatment options.
  • Accurately document patient information and care interventions in medical records.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in nursing.
  • Current valid North Carolina nursing license required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Red Cross or American Heart Association required.
  • 1 year of acute nursing experience, required.
  • 2 Years of med-surg or critical care experience in an acute hospital setting, preferred.
