Job Description

The Summer Legal Intern (2024) position at American Greetings Corporation is an opportunity for current Law Students to develop their practical lawyering skills in a variety of practices including Intellectual Property (IP) - Copyrights, Patents, and Trademarks, Data Privacy and Cybersecurity, and General Commercial Contracts.

The position aims to teach professional development through experience; increase insight into the legal system; and help develop an understanding of lawyers work and professional responsibilities in a corporate setting.

The position is hybrid-remote with an expectation to be on-site in Westlake, OH on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Experience Required:

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Conducting research, investigating facts and developing legal arguments or position.
• Updating agreement templates and identifying process improvements.
• Supporting our IP Legal Team, including patent, copyright, or trademark-related legal analysis.
• Assistance in drafting agreements or provisions.
• Legal Department support; and other duties as assigned.

Internship Details:
• This is a full-time, paid internship
• Role requires hybrid work out of our Creative Studios at Crocker Park in Westlake, Ohio. You must have plans to reside in Northeast Ohio for the Summer of 2024.
• Must be able to work 40 hours per week from June 10, 2024 - August 16, 2024

Qualifications:
• Current enrollment in an accredited college or university
• Rising Junior or Senior pursuing a degree in a related field
