Involved in planning, setting up, calibrating, trouble shooting and making minor repairs of anesthesia equipment. In emergency situation, must be able to anticipate additional equipment and supplies as needed. Assists the anesthesia provider in positioning patients and equipment and placing non-invasive monitoring devices on patients. The technician is responsible for cleaning , disinfecting, and reassembling the equipment. Responsible for stocking and restocking and ordering of of supplies. Responsible for performing quality control checks on required equipment. Disposes hazardous waste. Qualifications: High School graduate. CPR certification required. Knowledge of medical terms preferred. Mechanical background preferred. Must be flexible, detail oriented and able to set and balance priorities.
