Position/Title: School Nutrition Assistant (2024-2025 School Year)

Reports To: School Nutrition Cafeteria Manager

Qualifications:

No minimum educational requirements.

Ability to read and interpret documents, instructions, procedures and menus.

Ability to relate well to students, staff members and co-workers.
Pay Scale based on years of verifiable experience in food service ranging from $12.00-$16.15 per hour

Duties:
  • Maintains a pattern of prompt and regular attendance and performs all duties as assigned effectively and efficiently.
  • Is neat and professional in appearance befitting the job they provide the school system.
  • Shall exhibit a professional attitude and demeanor at all times in dealing with the board, school administration, fellow employees, parents, students and the public.
  • Assist in the preparation and serving of food, to include the operation of all kitchen equipment.
  • Assist with the setup of the cafeteria and serving lines.
  • Assist in cleanup of utensils, equipment and kitchen area.
  • Assist with restocking and inventory of food supplies.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with defined safety and sanitation standards.
  • Follow approved procedure for collecting meal payments and recording meals by category.
  • Attend approved training sessions, professional learning activities and meetings as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
