Basic Function:Performs blood specimen collection, both venous and capillary procedures on inpatients and outpatients. Performs EKG's as needed. Also responsible for identifying, processing, and distributing all laboratory specimens according to laboratory standards. Requirements:High school graduate or equivalent..Prior phlebotomy experience preferred, with the ability to serve the needs of patients ages neonatal to geriatric.Able to handle numerous tasks simultaneously, in an orgaized manner.Working knowledge of MicroSoft Office. Responsibilities: •Perform Phlebotomy and Specimen Processing. •Perform specimen preparation/processing to include batching specimens, centrifuging, decanting, and relabeling •Perform mini-registration using Hospital Information System (HIS) •Perform Outpatient EKG's as required. •Order Laboratory tests using current Laboratory Information System (LIS)Salary Range: $15.84-$22.96/hour Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
