Role Overview:

We are in search of an experienced full-time in-house bookkeeper to manage day-to-day operational bookkeeping tasks on behalf of the Leadership team. Proficiency in NetSuite ERP is essential. The ideal candidate will excel in multitasking within a fast-paced environment while maintaining a professional demeanor with fellow team members. This role will be based in our Virginia Beach, VA office.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associates degree preferred, with a minimum of three (3) years of bookkeeping experience.
  • Bookkeeping certifications will be considered in lieu of required experience.
  • Previous experience as a bookkeeper or staff accountant is highly encouraged.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, leadership abilities, and a collaborative mindset
  • Proficiency with Oracle NetSuites ERP
  • Ability to multitask and work independently to meet deadlines
  • Experience with Avalara, AvaTax, and Shopify is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage A/P for multiple company vendors
  • Reconcile vendor payments with outstanding transactions in NetSuite
  • Bill purchase orders
  • Data entry of invoices and bill payments (Intl Freight, Inspections, Tooling, Vendor Invoices)
  • Process ACH and Direct Debit payments and/or manage check printing.
  • Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Monitor the chart of accounts and submit proposed changed for approval
  • Maintain the customer database in NetSuite in conjunction with Avalara
  • Assist Account Coordinator to review trade applications for tax exemption status
  • Regularly drop off and retrieve mail from P.O Box
  • Vendor Commissions monthly tracking via JE and Quarterly payments
  • Depreciation and Amortization Schedule
  • Perform Ad hoc duties as assigned
