The transporter accepts responsibility and is accountable for transporting patients to pre-op holding and other nursing units. He/she transports written communication, requisitions, specimens, and medications to appropriate departments within a designated time frame
Qualifications
EDUCATION & TRAINING:
High School diploma or equivalent
EXPERIENCE:
Must be able to prioritize needs under the direction of an LPN/RN. Computer skills are required
LICENSES & CERTIFICATION:
Employee must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification within 6 months of hire date and maintain continuous certification throughout their employment. Failure to maintain certification may result in corrective action.
