Maintenance Technician

Job Title: Maintenance TechPay Rate: $25.87/hour with increases at 3 months and 1 yearLocation: Markleville, INJob Duties: Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility's equipment. Troubleshoot and repair pouch and bag-making equipment. Troubleshoot and repair reroll/slitter, lamination, and bubble roll equipment. Perform periodic PM duties as per schedules. Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service. Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities. Perform mechanical skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair of production machines. Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. Diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test, and make adjustments. Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities. Use a variety of hand/power tools and material handling equipment in performing duties. Detect faulty operations, and defective material, and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.Requirements: Advanced understanding of general maintenance procedures and techniques within an industrial manufacturing setting Background in extrusion is a plus Mechanical aptitude in machinery, plumbing, carpentry, hydraulic systems, etc. Well-versed in industrial electrical settings and familiar with three-phase power Experience with HVAC a plus Flexibility in scheduling for overtime, including occasional weekends Excellent written and verbal communication skills Well-organized with effective problem-solving abilities, and have the ability to prioritize tasks Ability to lift 45 lbs. without assistance, and assist in lifting motors, etc., of 120 lbs.
