Reports to the MRI Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for performing diagnostic MRI examinations and providing quality patient care. Reports to the MRI Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for performing diagnostic MRI examinations and providing quality patient care. Responsible for safe handling of equipment of films. Instructs and prepares patients for examinations. Assesses patient#s understanding of process and informed consent of invasive procedures. Ensures that the Contrast Administration and Gadolinium Consent forms are filled out properly. Assesses, evaluates and informs physician of changes in patient#s condition during the exam. Selects appropriate equipment to use for procedure. Determines most suitable anatomical posture and positions, uses positioning blocks to stabilize or support patients during exam, and modifies exam to minimize pain. Magnetic safety practice is always followed to ensure the safety of the patient, employee, and equipment. Practices medical and aseptic procedures. ARRT registered. Knowledge of MRI equipment.
