Behavior technicians are responsible for the direct implementation of skill acquisition and behavior-reduction plans developed by the BCBA. The behavior technician will record behavioral data daily and conduct certain types of assessments under the supervision of a BCBA.

Our mission is to foster greater independence by equipping caregivers, individuals, and their families with tools and strategies to manage severely challenging or disruptive behaviors.

Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Responsibilities:

  • Deliver client services
  • Assist in restructuring/arranging environments and activities to support the clients behaviors
  • Teaching skills that allow the individual to communicate and/or function more effectively and independently
  • Review behavior plans and other instructional materials developed by BCBA
  • Facilitate consistent implementation of the behavior plan, and monitor outcomes.
  • Implement behavioral procedures for acquisition of replacement skills and reduction of problematic behaviors
  • Data collection as prescribed by a recipients behavior analysis service plan
  • Communicate openly with behavior analysts - including consistently replying to email correspondence from leadership within 24 business hours
  • Complete daily session notes related to implementation of the intervention plan
  • Maintain a high energy level and positive attitude.
  • Ability to maintain a calm and neutral demeanor throughout challenging situations with clients.
  • Must be willing to work in schools, client home and in the community with child and family.
  • Maintain a variety of postures (kneeling, sitting on the floor, running, lifting) as situations demand.
  • Proficient in ABA teaching methodologies such as Errorless Learning, First Trial Data and Discrete Trial Training during direct intervention.
  • Promotes evidence based treatments.
  • Keeps programs up-to-date and data sheets that reflect measurable data and progress on goals.

Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Requirements:

  • High school diploma, and be at least 18 years of age
  • Valid Registered Behavior Technician Certification
  • Ability to respond quickly to phone calls, text messages, and emails
  • Must live in the general posted area and be available for in-person services
  • Must have reliable transportation between client homes (it is typical to serve multiple clients in one day)
  • Strong verbal and written communication, time management and organizational skills, problem-solving
  • Maintains certificates and licenses
  • Flexible availability

Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Additional Information:

  • This is an in-home and community based position. The work location is within the general specified area - specific address is dependent on client assignment and their home location
  • There is no overnight / out-of-area travel associated with the role

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $26.00 per hour
