Amalgamated Sugar Company is seeking a Factory Chemist. This developmental position will provide specialized analytical work as well as method development and validation support for the Technical Services team.

While performing specialized analysis on process and agricultural samples utilizing instruments such as HPLC, NIR, FTIR, and others, the Factory Chemist will also become familiar with factory laboratory and factory process operations. The Factory Chemist will play a lead role in the training and development of the laboratory staff and will be key to maintaining a safe laboratory work environment.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in chemistry or related field required.

Minimum 3 years of experience in laboratory operations.

OR any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
