Lead Technologist, Lab

Job DescriptionMAJOR FUNCTION:Directs staff and over-sees operations relative to their specific assignment and duties. Performs routine medical laboratory testing procedures using a variety of laboratory instrumentation. Responsible for the performing and resulting of specimens received from patients who may range in age from neonate, pediatric, adults to geriatric. Maintains proper quality control procedures, instrumentation against established standards, operate the laboratory information system. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public. Perform any other duties necessary to run an efficient and effective laboratory.QUALIFICATIONS:Education & Experience:Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology or related field.Minimum of 3 years clinical laboratory experience required.Certification/Licensure:ASCP or equivalent, certification required.Knowledge & Skills:Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.#J-18808-Ljbffr
