The Inside Parts Sales Representative uses comprehensive product knowledge, customer, and interpersonal relationship skills to satisfy General Equipments customer needs effectively and efficiently in securing parts. Working with product managers, inventory control and service personnel, this individual will build knowledge by participating in off-site, in-house and self-study product training opportunities.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Primary responsibility will be specializing in incoming calls from customers and Product Support Sales Representative employees working in the fieldAssists in the procurement, filling customer parts orders, stocking, and receiving of construction and aggregate machinery partsResponsible for the completion of parts shipmentLearns online systems to fill in when Parts Manager is unavailableBecomes proficient in the various online supplier parts systems to look up and order partsBuilds knowledge of existing product lines, service standards and proceduresAcquires parts and other items from vendors in and around the Williston area in a safe and professional mannerAssists in the collection of data necessary for efficient inventory decisions with Parts ManagerAttends local, regional, and national parts training seminars as requested by company managementMaintains close, positive working relationships with service and administrative departmentsMay perform other duties as directed by Parts ManagerRequired SkillsMust share our Core Values: Do the Right Thing, Be Curious, Have Passion and Be InnovativeNo exp is required working within the heavy equipment industry or working around parts inventory. We have the ability to train a person with the correct attitude, drive and willingness to learn.Computer skills: ability to navigate through many vendor sites and processesBasic understanding of computer spreadsheets, databases, and word processing applicationsExcellent customer service skills, written and verbalRequires a valid drivers licenseMust be able to prioritize time as the varying needs of co-workers must be weighed with the needs of external customersMust have excellent internal and external customer service skillsPossess organizational skills with ability to effectively manage multiple projectsMust have a positive mental attitudePossess the understanding of process flows within an organizationMust be able to communicate with management the tasks at hand, as well as the tasks to be completed to gain feedback necessary to complete the tasks in an efficient and productive mannerBe able to plan ahead and keep in close contact with managers so that information can be communicated in a timely mannerNature and Scope of JobRequires prolonged standing with periodic lifting, walking, standing, bending, stooping, and stretchingRequires ability to push, lift, pull, and/or carry 50 lbs. or moreThe duties described above are the general nature and levels of work performed but are not intended to be a complete comprehensive list of all the duties, activities, and responsibilities required of job incumbents.
