Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Obstetrics and Gynecology Registered Nurse (RN) to join our talented team. As a Registered Nurse (RN) at WTCP, you will have the opportunity to contribute to patient care and improve their outcomes.   • The working schedule for this role is Monday - Friday 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • The duration is as a full time employee
  • The anticipated start for this role is about four weeks after an accepted offer
  • Holiday requirements are as needed

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with the Site Manager, Senior Manager of Process Improvement and Practice Operations, Medical Director of Outpatient Practices, Site Director and Clinical Nurse Director ensuring all competencies and clinical responsibilities are completed accurately
  • Ensuring that Medical Assistants are updated with new medical procedures and techniques
  • Works closely with the Site Manager regarding administrative matters
  • Observe, report and record patient's condition, reaction to drugs and treatment, compile and record all patient laboratory information
  • Assist physicians during clinical procedures, and department specific therapies
  • Record patient histories and vital signs, venipuncture, injections, and collect/prep specimens
  • Monitor use and ordering of equipment, surgical instruments, and supplies
  • Triage calls and advise appropriate clinicians when necessary
  • Assist in improving and maintaining the existing laboratory and pathology tracking system
  • Maintain precise records of all specimens obtained and sent for testing
  • Weekly maintenance of equipment and medications/supplies for emergency carts
  • Ensure all medications and injections are logged and accounted for
  • Prepare and administer prescribed medication in accordance with standards
  • Track and monitor risk management incidents, medication errors and other patient safety issues
  • Participates in performance improvement activities and staff education
  • Other duties as assigned within the scope of the job
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor degree or master degree in nursing
  • 2 - 4 years of experience in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OBGYN) as a Registered Nurse
  • 2 years outpatient OB/GYN clinical experience
  • Pass the National Council Licensure Examination or NCLEX-RN
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse
  • American Heart Association BLS/CPR
  • ACLS certification
  • Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, physicians and hospital staff
  • Basic computer skills
  • Professional, friendly attitude
