Position Overview:

Premier Health Group is seeking an experienced Medical Biller with proficiency in utilizing CollaborateMD and a strong background in the mental health field. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in our billing department, ensuring accurate and timely processing of medical claims related to mental health services. This position requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a thorough understanding of medical billing procedures in the mental health sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize CollaborateMD software to process medical claims for mental health services, ensuring accuracy and compliance with billing regulations.
  • Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for mental health patients, including Medicaid and private insurance plans.
  • Review and analyze patient medical records to accurately assign appropriate diagnosis and procedure codes for billing purposes.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and clinical staff to resolve billing discrepancies and ensure proper documentation of services rendered.
  • Follow up on outstanding claims, denials, and appeals to maximize reimbursement for mental health services.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations, coding guidelines, and insurance policies relevant to mental health billing.
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients, insurance companies, and internal stakeholders regarding billing inquiries and concerns.
  • Generate billing reports and financial analyses to support decision-making processes within the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing, with a focus on mental health services.
  • Proficiency in utilizing CollaborateMD and various payer portals.
  • Strong understanding of ICD-10 and CPT coding principles, with the ability to accurately assign codes for mental health diagnoses and treatments.
  • Familiarity with insurance verification processes, including Medicaid and commercial insurance plans.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data entry and documentation.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage workload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certification in medical billing and coding preferred.
