Anesthesia Technician

Cleans, maintains, orders, and restocks anesthesia equipment and supplies. Ensures safe standards are maintained; complies with department and Medical/ Surgical Center policies and procedures. Performs routine duties which assist the anesthesia team in caring for patients.

Education:

1) High School graduate or equivalent.

Experience:

1) Previous experience preferred, however consideration will be given to those with prior anesthesia tech/aide experience.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

1) Ability to follow instructions and perform routine tasks carefully and properly. 2) Listens and appropriately responds to patient/significant other, staff, and physician concerns. 3) Communicates in a calm, caring attitude. 4) Communicates appropriately pertinent information concerning the patient, equipment, instruments and supplies. 5) Adapts to changes in routine and schedule. 6) Consistently exhibits positive daily work attitude.

License/Certification/Registration:

1) Meets the American Heart Associations standards for Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) and renews BLS every two years. 2) ASATT Certification required (American Society of Anesthesia Technicians & Technologists). by Jobble
