We’re currently seeking a Primary Care Physician to fill an opening with a correctional facility in Florence (just Southeast of Phoenix) offering competitive pay, flexible schedules, and great work-life balance. Details & Responsibilities – Competitive Pay Flexible full-time schedule 10 hour shifts 4 days/week No call or weekends required Start Date – ASAP Credentialing Estimate – 1 month Primary Care. Provide standard primary care – diagnose medical conditions, perform physicals, med management. The Physician examines and treats facility detainees/inmates to ensure proper injury care, disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment and recovery. The primary care physician is the first point of contact for many patients and as a result must be able to diagnose a wide range of illnesses and injuries. The Physician is also responsible for managing the overall care of the patient and communicating with the specialist or specialists as needed. Manages and evaluates the medical program activities based on industry standards and contractual obligations. Functions as liaison between correctional officials, public agencies, and the company. Implements all contractually required services. Take a leading role in the treatment of patients. Collaborate & work with other providers, nurses and medical assistants to ensure a high standard of care. Refer Patients. As needed, refer patients to off-site specialists. Patient Load – Adult population. Approximately 15 PPD.
