Night Shift Registered Nurse

JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Registered Nurse to join our medical surgical unit as we transform into an Advanced Community Healthcare System. As a Night Shift Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality nursing care to our patients utilizing evidence-based practices and standards of care while assuming leadership roles and participating in quality improvement activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized care plans for our patients, utilizing interdisciplinary team collaboration to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based care plans for patients
- Provide education to patients and their families to promote health and safety
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to facilitate and coordinate patient care
- Evaluate patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary
- Integrate research and evidence-based findings into practice
- Demonstrate leadership and contribute to quality nursing practice through active participation in shared decision-making activities
- Practice ethically and serve as a patient advocate as necessary
- Utilize appropriate resources to provide cost-effective and efficient nursing care
- Practice environmental safety and maintain knowledge of infection control practices
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Florida
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
- Minimum of one year of experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting preferred
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills
- Intermediate computer knowledge
